HI...as an ex dispatch rider now knowledge boy..i had a gooood look around and did a lot of research into it....i have dispatched many bikes from a mz 250 to a hayabusa however i had never ridden a moped before now...i wanted something very reliable and cheap to run and also something i could get easily get parts for. i was looking at the honda c90 as im told by lots of people its the bees knees and are great and has amazing mpg. however i didnt like the fact that they are very very prone to flat tyres and as they are tubed they are a nightmare to fix by the roadside, so i bought a honda dylan....it won moped of the year.... not sure what year ..its mega reliable i have spoken to people who have treated them with love and have gotten 100k miles and going. with no love about 40k ...also they have tubless tyres although most costly if you get a flat they are worth there weight in gold ( tubless repair kits ). i have done 116 runs so far and im really happy with it i cant fault anything on it..bought it for 800 pound with 14k on it not a great deal however i was rushing and wanted to get on with my runs.
It does about 80-100 mpg tyres are about 40 pounds each...air filter easy to fit 12 pounds from honda ...there is no oil filter it has a small mesh type thing about the size of a thimble which is easy to clean and also free to clean and takes about 1 L of oil so i feed it the best i can afford . I have done about 3 thousand miles in 2 weeks and its still going strong ...i also looked at the price of a replacement engine it was about 225 fitted. if there is any other questions please ask hope i have helped |
