Taxi plunge man dies in hospital
A 21-year-old man who fell from a moving taxi in North Tyneside has died from his injuries.
Jamie Waite, of Wallsend, suffered serious head wounds after falling from the vehicle on Norham Road, North Shields, on 29 March.
He was taken to hospital following the incident and died on Thursday.
Police are still trying to trace the taxi's two other male passengers, who were dropped off moments earlier near the road's junction with the A1058.
The first man is aged 19 to 20, about 5ft 9in, has spiky dyed blond hair, with a ginger tint, and was wearing a white jacket.
The other man is of similar height, has a chubby face with shaved dark hair and was wearing a jumper, possibly with grey and red stripes.
All three had been picked up from Hillheads Road in Whitley Bay.
