Late-night taxi marshals in town
A late-night taxi marshalling scheme is to be launched shortly in Kingswood, near Bristol.
The marshals will work on Fridays and Saturdays between 1200 and 0300 BST to help prevent incidents of anti-social behaviour and assault.
Ian Bowen of South Gloucestershire Council said: "Marshals will positively manage the taxi ranks and work towards the safety of customers and drivers."
A council meeting takes place to ratify the decision on Thursday.
The meeting will take place in the Council Chamber of Kingswood Civic Centre.
