29 Feb 2008 11:24 AM Alert

Hi there, i wanted to introduce myself. Im Amanda and im from Newcastle. My new office opens 15th March and its for women only. Its the first in the North East.

Its very scary and exciting. I have 3 drivers so far, but its early days and i havent started my advertising campaign yet, it starts next week,

Im open to any suggestions and help out there as this is all new to me. I have had a great response so far. The local paper even did an article a week ago which was great.

Amanda

Well hello Amanda.

The fact that you are doing something different is good as it will make you stand out from the others.

The fact that you say it's scary is also good as it will keep you on your toes, and you will need to be on them to succeed.

Sounds like you are off to a good start what with the press coverage, well done for that!

Good luck to you, I hope make a go of it

Why don't you get a proper job???

Thankyou, im going to need lots of support and all the help i can get.

Its all new to me but my dads been a taxi driver for 20 years and has had his own office before so hes helping as much as he can.

Its going to be long hours untill i get enough drivers to pay some desk clerks, but i hope its all worth it in the end.

I,ll let you know how i get on.

Check out my website at www.venuscarslive.co.uk

Thanks

Amanda

hi amanda, good luck in your quest, unfortunatley the world of taxi driveing doesnt just revolve around runing just women around, and to succeed you will unfortunatley come across the  beer monsters, lunatics, smackheads andwhatever else comes your way sorry to burst you bubble love but as im sure you dad has warned you , its a thankless job if only all our customers were perfect, this said  i wish you luck just wanted to stress it can and is very dangerous out there on a saturday and friday night, beer in brains out be carefull

Sorry, im picking up male and female passengers but just have women drivers. There is a big need out there for more women drivers but its not really practical to pick just women up, especially if they go to town with hubbie etc.

xx
