We know youve been meeting ministers for years, and all for your own corrupt purposes, and yes you conned many mugs, but now the gravy train has hit the buffers for you, no longer will you be able to pretend you have the co-operation of the GMB!

So in typical style clever Trev raises the debate to "We've seen the minister more times than you have"
Begs the questions why is the industry still in such a state, apart from one or two bits where certain individuals have made a fortune for themselves off of the backs of the drivers/
Is it the fact that the minister knows the nation is bigger than Carlisle and Sefton, is it the fact that respective ministers only really have time for things that benefit the government and big business and anything we can glean out of them that will really benefit the drivers will only be gained if a/ it doesn't hit big business and the two bob crooks who aspire to be big businessmen or b/ when we as drivers really start getting organised into a union instead of letting associations who represent the interests of the fleet operators and proprietors who chisel a living off of the drivers represent them.
It might explain certain attitudes last week when a favourable hearing was given to the O licences but they appeared to be more reticent about the chauffer issue.
Eliminating the O license scam would only hit a handful of two bob crooks hitting the chauffer industry by legislating for health and safety that would protect the public and the drivers would hit the two bob crooks who have graduated to the dizzy height of businessman

SLC ......................... how many hours are you looking to restrict these people to.
This Labour Government has restricted the hourly rate of the unskilled working man by introducing a minimum wage ................. I hope that your not suggesting that the hours that man works should also be restricted to a level where he cannot afford to feed his family.
We all want to work less SLC ..................... but the chance of us getting the same wages for less hours is as likley as Ireland entering the space race.
