New appeal over taxi rank attack
Police have renewed their appeal for witnesses to an attack which left a man requiring plastic surgery.
The 22-year-old victim was knocked unconscious outside The Pizza Zone takeaway at Bishop Auckland's Market Place taxi rank.
He needed external and internal stitches to his cheek and is likely to have a permanent scar.
Durham Police want to speak to any taxi drivers or other witnesses who may have seen the attack early on 17 May.
The victim was wearing an orange V-neck jumper when he was assaulted at about 0030 BST.
