One too watch out for,in London if you pull onto a shell franchised forecourt, you are advised to check the price of diesel at the pump before filling up. IN ORDER TO HOOK YOU IN THE LARGE SHELL SIGN STATES £113.9 so you find the only pump in action with the universal black coded handle, and begin to fill up.You go to pay only to be told that the pump price is £119.9 AND ONLY THEN ARE YOU INFORMED THAT THE PUMP CONTAINS AN IMPROVED FUEL.there are no advisory signs on the pump, nor surrounding area and the franchise holder will give you shells customer sevrvice centres tel no 0800 731 8888 AS IN HIS WORDS,WE ARE FED UP WITH COMPLAINTS FROM CUSTOMERS PLEASE RING THEM... so i did and got the following repy from them having pointed out that in my opinion they are operating in breech of the trade description act,"we believe that we are offering a new fuel and do not regard the purchase as described to be illegal"but your call will be logged.........(what are your thoughts on this)...... |
