When we have British people abusing our social services, laws and national health service found fighting against British soldiers and killing them something needs to be done.
The Oath of Allegience to our head of state is a good thing as it is an oath of allegience to our great country.

Have signed and willing to give support as far as it goes. The pathetic burblings of the monarchist morons means you have to do something to register a protest and make the point that the majority of people who happen to have been born on this rock are not brain dead
Had to make the following comments on their site though because it would be wrong to con people into thinking that replacing the German inbreds with the shallow concept of democracy that capitalism has will only be superficial welcome though it would be
They asked whether we should replace existing symbols so I made the following point
"Get rid of the butcher’s apron, otherwise known as the union jack that symbolizes the bullying, theft and mass murder that has and is still being perpetrated in the name of the British people.
Swapping the Feudal monarchy for a system that ensures tweedle dee or tweedle dumb administers on behalf of the ruling elite and dupes people into thinking they have a say isn't democracy either.
I think they call it parliamentary democracy

Was listening to George Galloway yesterday and he was ridiculing this nonsense and did an interview with someone from Republic. No point in repeating my views you all know them by now, What was interesting was their demolition of the "they bring tourists in LIE" Only one Royal charade is in the nations top 20 tourists attractions thats Windsor Castle at number 17! the most popular attraction in Windsor is Lego Land! a remarkable illustration of good taste?? Also pointed out was the Oath not only refers to her but ALL NOTE ALL her legal successors! So you want to swear an oath to Jug Ears your having a laugh!!! Thge guy from Republic pointed out also that this family had a very large dose of mental illness within it due to their long time policy of marrying cousins!
What a shower the GMB want shot of them rightfully so! but still the cretins emerge!!!!!

Good points but Bandit makes a valid contribution as well although I think that those who abuse the democratic process (lets take it I have it wrong for a minute) by lying to the public and taking us into illegal wars which hundreds of servicemen and women have paid for with their lives should be shot. That would leave about 140 in the House of Commons. Swearing an oath of allegiance didn't do these poor sods a lot of good. Then we have the millions who have been thrown on the scrapheap as British industry has gone to the wall under successive Tory governments while thieves who call themselves businessmen and entrepreneurs asset strip and indulge in tax avoidance storing the money they have plundered in offshore tax havens.
Anyway back to the Huns, was it Hohenzollerns or Hanover’s before they changed it to Lego land or was it Windsor.
On a serious note when their inbred cousin the Kaiser was toppled Hitler came to power after so called democracy failed which is the point. We might want rid of the feudal monarchy but unless it is replaced with genuine democracy as opposed to the farce we have at the moment we might end up with fascists and racists running the show. Still might benefit some in the trade |

what an intresting subject agree with most points made actually, but you know who ever heads my country, be it the queen, the germans, the polish or the chinese, i was born an englishman my country is england and as far as i know so is my family past and present, i personaly dont need or desire to swear an oath of allegience, except to my wife ,LOL, and family is it not enough that half of my life has been spent keeping them and paying in one way or another to keep this massive monarchy machine runing, i am neither ant royal or the other, yes our great british army do fight and give there lifes all over the world to who i GREATLY admire they are trully courages, but they have made a choice to do that, life is about CHOICES and thats how it should be, if you want to swear the oath go ahead, dont let it be imposed like most things in life |

The most famous oath was sworn by the GERMAN armed forces to not Germany but to Adolf Hitler, now the fascist scum want to FORCE our children to swear an oath to a bone idle racist parasite and its SUCCESSORS! NOT the NATION anyone spot the connection??? Its said we are all a product of our enviroment, obviously brain washed semi literate is the norm??????????????

I used to be proud to be English Glenn but I am not so sure what that means anymore. Like everyone else I wasn’t consulted and didn't have an opportunity to have my views taken account of before I was born. Just like everyone else you don't have a choice in what part of what country your mother gives birth so what is there to be proud of. At first you have no views and your outlook is shaped by what you are told and what you experience. Learned fairly early not to trust what you are told most of the time and it certainly doesn't correspond with life experiences a lot of the time. So what is there to be proud of that you can be certain of? Having stood side by side with your lot in 84/85 and the printers in 86. Proud to have been associated with most of the men and women on strike and those giving support in both disputes. Proud to have been associated with the handful of genuine Labour MP's who really do stick up for working people. Proud of what some of our forefathers done in building the unions and some of the actions of the Labour Party in the past like the introduction of the health service.
But then you go on to the things some of are ashamed of. While it is not the fault of the soldiers and sailors who are sent all over the world to ensure British, but nowadays mainly America domination how can anyone be proud of the murder of innocent civilians be it in Iraq, Afghanistan, Ireland or any other countries in the world that have been blighted by British military presence.
The gross ignorance, selfishness and cowardice of trash like the city chiselers, scabs who cross picket lines and the humiliating spectacle of the professional groveller pulling their forelocks and doffing their caps before her maj or crapping themselves before all things legal whether just or not, these are traits that no-one can be proud of.
There are even men and women who haven’t even got the courage of their convictions to disagree on a subject. Many of them noticeable by their absence on this site.
Swore an oath of allegiance to my wife as well. I now believe marriage should be abolished.
If we have to swear an oath of allegiance to a German why can't it be my avatar?

good points south london cab, and well put, thank you for your support in our great fight, cant dissagree with you war is a dirty messy buisness yeh innocent people do get killed and its been the same through time and eternity, it goes full circle stupid political dissagreement,but i must correct you on one point its not only the british my friend, its every army in the world they swear the oath then do there countrys biding, god help the nexy generation |

There seems to be a theory that this issue is anti English/British, it isnt its anti feudalism. My father flew Lancaster Bombers[these servicemen sufferd the highest casualty rates of the war] he didnt have too he could have gone to Ireland and sat it out. he didnt he detested Fascism. this in living memory of the Tans.He wanted too see a workers republic, he didnt here or in Ireland, an Irish Tory isasofensive as a British one. This issue is about the CLASS struggle to connect it with Nationalism is a mistake, hereditary power is obscene. Wherever it emerges or continues our aim to destroy it socialism is world wide aim and inevitabley will be successfull. Unfortunately for the Royalists in this country the present incumbents are so ridiculous that the public are beginning to support GMB policy to out them.

I believe that the "oath" is to be sworn by immegrants to this country who intend to become a citizen.
It is not about making people who are already CITIZENS swear an oath.
FFS ............ more sensationalist nonsence from those who are so anti everything British ........................ no wonder this country is in such a $hit state.

All,
We have more immigrant taxi drivers in Manchester than London I am sure !
I thought the government and our councils had an equal opportunities policy but its more like a one sided policy and its not in our favour.
The council have no oath of loyalty to its own people ... because they allow themselves to be bullied. That old chest nut "is it because I am black" ... no its because you can not speak english :-)

I bet these children will never know what an 'Oath of allegiance' is never mind take one !
So, the immigrant from afghanistan who works all week and has 7 children does not put in to a system what he takes out.
7 children at £5000 (per year per head for schooling) is more than what he earns in a year. Then, theres the burden on the health service and all the other services.
We talk about Polish people but how many immigrants with 7 children do we have from other countries who take our jobs !

Immigrants can swear with their mouth all day;
but what connection do they have to our traditions?
What connection do they have to our ways? NONE!
And thinking that making them say some magic words will give them a connection is voodoo at its finest.
So, when do their children take the 'Oath of allegiance' !
The reason that there should be no oath is that they should ALL, be rounded up and deported to the nearest third world country --Mexico-- and forgotten about.
Look up "rivers of blood' by Enoch Powell and tell me if he hit the nail in the head.
How about this...if an immigrant on short term breaks a law---he/she and the family gets deported and put on a "black list" forbidden to return to this country. If they do and get caught, let's make it a capital offense with no appeal (they are not legal subjects of the country and therefore not subject to the standard) under the terrorist act.
The government / council allows themselves to be bullied.
They are too worried about how they look in the eyes of other people (especially from other countries)
when people from other countries would not give them the same respect in thier own country to start with !
