With a fleet of over 20 vehicles the fuel crunch has relay started to hurt, but now we have something that actually helps, as a private hire company we was asked to test a diesel additive which claims to guarantee to increase your fuel economy by 5%, as most you reading this I laughed a lot when he told me this but then after reading a few American reviews about this product especially http://www.dieseltruckresource.com/dev/showthread.php?t=129080

I thought to my self, what the hell I may as well waste a few pounds and put my mind at rest. The results were disturbing, on average I got 11% on motorway runs as most of you reading this I thought yeah it will be like that for the first few days but 3 weeks on and I am still getting an average of 9% to 11% depending on which vehicle and weather conditions and more importantly the driver lol, I am getting around 8% on local roads, yes these results are hard to believe, I kept thinking I must of calculated something wrong, some where till I done the test in my personal car ( e class Mercedes) where I compared a trip from Walsall to Coventry and back on 2 separate days same time middle of the night so I could minimise acceleration etc while on the motorway. The results I got from the Mercedes computer as well as what I calculated was 11%, fair enough I could of made a mistake which might put the % off by 2% but that’s still 9% fuel economy increase when I worked out how much the product had cost me and how much money I was saving, put it this way its going to pay for a new car. What I would suggest is go buy it as soon as you can either I want to be told i am not the only one out their getting results like this or I messed up on my fuel calculations. I think the hardest part is getting hold of this, the product I used was the Meaner Power Kleaner http://www.howeslube.com/products/index.php/category/10 but that’s the American web site the place I order from is http://www.howeslube.eu/Sales.htm I normally just email them and a sales representative comes around.

Dear Taxi Drivers

I am writing to you to introduce a product which can genuinely reduce your spend on diesel by about 7-10%.

We Randstad are the UK importers and distributors of a revolutionary, high technology product called DPT. We are a well established (1975) distributor of quality automotive products to the professional automotive market, with a reputation for supplying quality products. We operate with a network of almost 150 installers throughout the UK. I am sure as a professional driver with niclreasing fuel overheads you will be interested in the benefits of DPT to your own fleet or vehicle, and am contacting you to provide some information and invite you to ask whatever questions you may have relating to the product.

DPT is proven cutting edge technology, designed in Europe to the very highest quality standards by an ex Formula 1 / F3000 engineer. The constituent parts of the product are manufactured in the Netherlands. The wiring loom by a company who also manufacture looms for Philips medical equipment including their MRI scanners. At the heart of the PCBs is an Atmel 32 bit microprocessor.

DPT technology improves the combustion of a modern turbo diesel engine, by injecting fuel at a very slightly higher pressure, this results in reduced fuel demand to develop torque. By programming the DPT units we can optimise the fuel consumption for most diesel vehicles in your fleet.

Respected motoring TV presenter and journalist Quentin Willson recently had a DPT unit fitted to his 2.7 L Jaguar XJ and highly impressed. In his Sunday Mirror column on 15th June he wrote about DPT, his article included the line "the bit you need to know is that it added about 5 miles to every gallon".

Subsequently on 22nd June he wrote following fitment to his Range Rover TDV8… More news on the DPT economy module I told you about last week. I’ve now had one fitted to my oil burning Range Rover and early indications suggest that economy has improved from 23.8mpg to 29.8mpg…. Given the results I’ve had on my Jag as well, it looks like this £ 300 black box will pay for itself in less than a year at today’s derv prices. As far as I’m concerned, it is the only diesel economy device that really works.

Quentin Willson will be introducing a prime time TV programme on ITV at 8pm on 30th June entitled “Priced Off The Road” in which he will further extol the virtues of this exceptional product.

Already we have tuned a TX4 which is operational and attaining 7% savings in MPG. At present only alimited number of cabs have this. We have yet to get PCO approval which is a long process but we know you need a solution NOW. SO maybe you can hep us to help you by demanding this technology be made available.

A travel company in Surrey, Titan Aviation, carried out a rigorous evaluation of the product and committed to fitting DPT to 160 VW T5 based minibuses it operates, after calculating that DPT was saving them 8% in their fuel overhead. Note this also means they had reduced their CO2 emissions on these vehicles by 8% too. Already they are talking to us about having the units fitted to their cars once the installation process on the minibuses is complete. I am sure Richard Baxter Transport Manager of Titan would be willing to provide a reference should you so require.

There is a lot more information about DPT available on http://www.dieselpowertuning.co.uk , please visit the site , use the savings calculator, read the news which includes Quentin Willson's full articles as well as many other supporting documents. The following link should specifically be of interest; http://www.dieselpowertuning.co.uk/calc.php

I would welcome the opportunity to speak to you about how we can help you reduce the diesel fuel overhead on your fleet. Ideally we would like the opportunity to supply an initial unit for a suitable vehicle for evaluation.

Regards
Martin C Dowd
