I have never had the opportunity to introduce myself or become involved in some threads you contributed to this site. ( Mainly because it has been GMB  "V"  YOU related so I have just been reading and sitting back.)
I see the replies you have received throughout from our GMB BRANCH SEC LONDON has been rather less professional at the least. He is obviously very disturbed about the fact that there is real people out here that wants nothing to do with the union.
You are indeed direct in your comments and obviously have some knowledge or dealings with them.

So the gutless one has made unsubstantiated allegations that could drop the poor sod who is good enough to run this site right in the shiite. Tell you what how about publishing it all again, us guaranteeing (through a signed affidavit) that we would not take action against the magazine on the basis that he informs us of the individual’s details. Then again he could be open to a counter claim under data protection. The gutless turd who hides behind avatars is a difficult one to deal with.

I don't think it's the dynamic duo from the north west because although they are both daft as brushes there is something there and I do think that the pair of them do have some desire to see genuine improvement in this industry and not just from a vested self interest point of view.

This article is something else, gutless, wholly destructive and he fires completely on his own selfish agenda and it is obvious that he doesn't give two hoots about the industry other than it serving his own ends.

He clearly judges everyone by his own degenerate standards and thinks I give two fcuks about branch funding or anything else financial. As long as there is enough to get by on and we can build the union, improve the industry and dig out the two bob low lifes who have messed it up for us up until now I will be quite happy.

Seeing our top in house barrister next week on the City Sprint stuff. Evidently they are going to let me front it up in the tribunal as long as she is looking over my shoulder making sure I don't make a balls up (sensible move). Wonder if this is a chance to float some ideas passed her about how to dig this filth out.

As far as the association’s relationship with fascist inspired organisations is concerned I don't think they are however one or two of their members have been very silly boys and they know who I am talking about.

Look we provide a public service and what colour your skin is or what rock you were born on is an irrelevance if an Asian worker or an African woman needs a cab you can't have members of fascist inspired, racist organisation providing that service. Well I appreciate your honesty and because you are addressing the post and myself in a civilized manner I will reply with honesty.
I am not political in the least " My view is that no matter who is in power " they will only line there own pockets and give no consideration to what I want or need.
Once again because I feel like I am talking to a rational human I will tell you that the Tory Crap was my little frisk to get the debate into full swing...But then Terry decided to throw insults at me that was out of order.
At least this has shown me one thing....Terrys true colours..and how unprofessional a man in his position can be.
We all have views and opinions but how we deliver them to the public is a key factor to gain respect. If you decide to give Terry the training he obviously needs to communicate diplomatically without hurling insults your union will gain more respect.

Putting an outrageous position to stimulate debate. I learned that isn't a bad tactic a few years back and guess who I learned it from.

It was always claimed that us stupid mini cab drivers in London were too stupid, cowardly, greedy and selfish to have the ability to organise ourselves into a union. This held true for over forty years until a small group of ex printers led by you know who got stuck in with the GMB and proved that was not the case.

That holds true in every part of the country and could you imagine if forty or fifty thousand of us were organised into the union they would have to listen then. Could you imagine if our top legal people had had time to digest and understand the laws fully that cover our industries. Could you imagine if we had the financial wherewithal to send fully briefed solicitors to court over licensing issues, how much safer the industry would be for drivers if our work on the safety issue had been a success. How the germ of what is potentially a very good idea that you have had could be harnessed in a really effective campaign to upgrade, one or both sides of the industry, which is going to be a major debate in itself, could take place.

Terry always says I get carried away with what is and what isn’t achievable and there might be a grain of truth in that but when I started cabbing about ten years ago and the first question I asked which was who do I see about joining the union they looked at me as if I was a complete nutter. If I would have said that in ten years time there will be a branch of our size in London and that the chauffer and courier wings of the industry are in the process of begining to get organised and that there was a big branch developing in the southern area not to mention contacts all around the country I would have been locked up.

It is possible Steve don't take things so personal, I know it is a barsteward when you've just come in from a Saturday night especially if you have been carting r soles about. There is a job of work to be done and I hope and pray that the likes of you and Mickey can show us that anything cockneys can do Geordies can do to.
