stupid unthought out stunts like this will only destroy the credibility of the industry. thankfully we the GMBPDBs have the ability to on behalf of the majority [democracy] to explain the amateurism and ignorance of some of the STUPID so called independent .

Terry I feel sorry for your comments you make ( You do know how to make yourself look silly )...You know , I know and South London Cab knows that my "Independent remarks" are a major threat to your little regeime...
Actually over a period of time people / Drivers will see how important it is to have there own views and become independent.
As opposed to drivers been told to pay in to a union that only follows the majority vote.

Sad world isn't it !!!!!!!! How unionism can bring a trade to its knees !!!!!!
Where people is disillusioned into thinking payment means representation into these unions.
When really the unions do not tell the members.... the full package they get for there money....
( Try telling the members the truth and let them know if they are in the minority, they will actually be ignored ).

Is there any truth in the rumour that Gordon Brown called an emergency cabinet meeting when he found out the thirty seventh signature had been obtained.

Get one of the other non union, independent drivers to lend you a dog, you and the dog could hold a mass meeting and that would really notch up the pressure.

IS IT A BIRD - IS IT A PLANE- NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT'S INDEPENDANT TAXI MAN

Hello South London Cab.
Your remarks are nothing less than pathetic, but then again can I expect anything else ??? as you are the grease monkey for the GMB and have to do what "You have been brain washed into thinking".
I originally thought that you were a decent bloke but then you come out with this crap....( Oh hold on does Terry need backing ) ???
And yes it is the Independent Taxi Driver dear Nob head.......
Take a good sit back "in your little short lasting GMB world" and remember what you typed in this post.
Because my day is to come where yours is "Sprinting" to a end.
You can not deny the Drivers there right to speak up and have there views noticed...
But you will and Terry will.....
BTW..If you need to ask me my motives and intentions I will have to charge you for information and education that I will no doubt be giving you...All payments received will be channeled back into the trade and no profit will be taken by myself.

I unconditionally surrender

When confronted with razor sharp wit of this nature there is clearly no answer.

Only representing the interests of the overwhelming majority, we should be ashamed of ourselves

I hear that the wuffians fwom over the wiver call them the hamsters, which is potentially even more disturbing.

I can remember when Paul Gasgoine played for the Magpies and our lot were singing who ate all pies he was shouting back at us

"It was Taxi's and his mates. Didn't understand it at the time but it's all starting to make sense.

Which is more than could be said for some of the posts on here - hypothetically

Hi Stevie hows the petition coming along,i must say i personally agree in the interest of safety and the duty of care we must provide in our trade to all of our customers, also including other users of the road,I do hope the governing bodies and the powers that be take notice that an independent taxi driver has set his stall out to make changes for the better by demanding higher standards for the professional drivers in our trade.

Good luck

dont know how other areas work but in rossendale,  first time badge applications have take a dsa, driving standards test before they can have a badge, this involves a driving examiner siting in with you for about a hour on the road, testing your driveing and judgement and knowledge of the roadits very much on the lines of a advanced driving test even though you have allready got a driveing licence if you dont pass this you dont get a badge the cost is 45 pound and you get 3 attempts must admit when our liccensing athority brought this to the table  our members were very sceptical more so about recruitment to the trade, got to say though in the last 5 years you can count on you hands the number of hack drivers involved in acciedents , so yeh it has been a good thing for us plus the advantage of cheaper insurance if you have the certifacate for passing the test, you also get a sticker fpr display in the cab fpr passenger reasurrance  dont know that i would petition for it to be  law, since every driver and county should have a choice

What's this driving test petition ... am just off the boat and trying to learning english !

Its not politically correct and it needs to take us in to account.

I have to learn the street names and be able to take directions ... this is just not acceptable.

It is in the Interest of public safety.
It will give drivers the "edge" above other road users.
Think of it as a bonus ( to be educated to a higher level )
You should also know street names and not have to take directions ! It is your job to
take your passengers where they want to go without having to ask them to direct you.

Its all about raising the standards !
Regards Steve
