I'm in a bit of a dilemma!!

I've been driving private hire for about 3 months now in Tameside on a 50/50 deal and i'm enjoying the job.  I'm in the process of organising my own car to track to make it better for myself.

I own a P reg Carina E and i'm planning on getting this plated up and using it.  The car is solid and reliable, but one of my fellow drivers has suggested that i'd be much better off with a newer vehicle for reliability etc etc

There are pro's and cons for both in my view, but what's the general consensus on here?

Thanks

Robbie

PERSONALLY I WENT FOR NEW AS I HAD SEVERAL OLDER CARS WHICH LET ME DOWN DUE TO THE RIGOURS OF THE JOB.I ALSO WENT TO DERV AS THE ENGINES SEEMED TO GIVE A MAJOR +ON MILEAGE AND ECONOMY. ANOTHER PLUS IS A MINIMUM OF THREE YEARS TROUBLE FREE MOTORING DUE TO MANUFACTURERS WARRANTY.ALSO I HAD PAID 50/50 AND REALISED THAT THE PAYMENT TO THE AGENCY WOULD PAY THE COST OF NEW CAR........NOW YOU HAVE READ ON HEAR ABOUT THE BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP TO THE GMBPDB ESPECIALLY REGARDING CARS, SO I WOULD ADVISE YOU TO CONSULT WITH TERRY ABOUT THIS.HE CAN BE CONTACTED VIA 07958-275-339
