Hi Joe and thanks for the constructive critisism ........................ of course you are only one of a few with that opinion of me or what I have done.

Maybe you could continue posting rather than just reading and contribute to the education of other members.

maybe i could or should cos all i see is you lot trying to look good and help yourselves only , not the trade in general, and if i was to educate others in a lesson of modern day taxi driving and requirements what would our sad unions do then

Joe

Joe Plush ...................... your inferance that people are only looking after themselves is worthy of a debate alone.

Lets just hear some of your examples on that subject so that we can determine that your as knowledgable of the industry as you claim/

Give the bloke a chance Terry ............. after all he has, apparently, plenty to say ..................... maybe he just needs to grow some bollocks before he says it.

More likely he is just another keyboard warrior ............. or should I say free-loading keyboard warrior who wants everyone to do things for nothing while he goes out to work.

Met loads of Joe's in my time ............ slide out from under a turd with loads of mouth .............. while hiding behind their computer screens.

why should i sit here and educate you while you sit on your fat ass and absorb my knowledge then use it in your mission do wreck the taxi trade.
i have forgot more than you lot know, i do my own thing with councils you see i have more swing than a fariground when i start.
remind me bandit are you a real taxi driver? or do you not have anything to do with the trade apart from sticking your nose into things you do not understand.
i thouhjt you were alright but you cant help but begin to niggle people on here that is far more superior to yourself can you chubs
and you be quiet terry you agree, you agree with anyone who is in the gmb you are nothing less than a snot in a tissue to me

Represented thousands in individual cases over the years. From various industries including this one. Some are totally genuine and if handled correctly are won. Many involve a case where our members are partially correct and it is a case of getting the best deal possible and unfortunately there are many situations where a member might think he or she has a case but doesn't. In many of those cases and in classical social inadequate style they then need someone to blame and anyone who has done representation of this nature knows it is always the easiest target i.e. the union or whoever had to tell them there wasn't a case. It isn't helped by fools who try and pretend that the legal system has something to do with fairness and justice.  Heaven forbid that anyone who thinks they have a case but get told that they don't has to think for themselves rather than just blame someone else.

There are those who have a case but don't get representation and then they have a case against the union or whatever representative body misrepresented them. But far too often we get the trash who won't join up until they are in trouble and then wonder why the insurance doesn't pay out simply because they took the policy out after the fire started. I would like to know what category our new contributor thinks he fits into

The City Sprint issue, the campaign for driver safety, improving the educational opportunities and responsibilities for drivers in all part of the trade, numerous individual cases, the role played by the union in the door to door campaign in London that won the right to pick up and drop off on red routes, I don’t think I need to lst any more examples of what the union is doing in the trade. R

So - No to getting involved in helping bogus organisations fronting up confrontation with the government on behalf of the oil companies - we don't want to be used and we don't want them thinking we are unrepresentative do we kebab holders

Red Diesel at reduced rates for those providing a service to the public like our trade, if it is good enough for the farmers it is good enough for us

Nationalisation of the oil companies under democratic workers control and management

Withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan and Iraq

Not sure it is possible to keep up with you radicals - slow down bit

There we have the answer .......... Red diesel for Taxis and Private hire ........... but again that would be open to abuse, just like licensing to avoid the congestion charge.

BTW the Oil companies make just as much money from Red Diesel as they do from Road diesel ................. its the reduction of fuel duty that lowers the price, after all Red diesel is just Road diesel with a dye added.

Oh yeah ...................... alternative fuels are now available ................. so why not also seek funding for conversions to LPG or Bio- fuels.

Or are we just preparing to use the Labour governments inflated fuel prices against the Tory Scum when they get elected later this year.

GOD SAVE THE QUEEN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thats right Mick although some seem to profess that it is a far less superior grade of fuel.
They actually come out with the crack it knacks engines...

If this was the case thats why they run it in £30,000 machines and huge cruse boats etc::

Not a bad Idea though to introduce something that would assist the public transport chain by reducing running costs.

Regards Steve
