It would appear to me that de-regulation of the trade in their entirety would be lunacy, throwing all standards out of the window and with the ph, certainly in London this free for all has led to chaos in some areas with the two bob crooks and pile it high sell it cheap merchants obtaining and their rents (sorry drivers) by the most unscrupulous methods.

So are you saying the London taxi market is a failed one?

I'm not even talking about that side of the industry I'm talking about PH. Even then the reference is to areas where for example a two bob gangster will entice drivers with the promise of getting their papers sorted, getting them a car and making the insurance arrangements. Sending with an interpretor (if he doesn't have English as his first language) to the equally crooked topographical testers.

Then one day when the driver is sitting outside Tesco's waiting for Mrs Shopping bags for another 3.50 fare that takes ages and no bloody tip he might think about going to another firm but he is in far to deep with the manipulative scum crook to make the move.

Even if he did there is not point because the crook keeps his prices rock bottom to attract the custom and all the other firms in the area are forced to drive their prices down.

Cut a few corners on safety as well, charge through the roof for rent and the crook is making money out of the front he only set up as a cover for his coke dealing in the first place.

That is how a two bob crook takes advantage of the totally open market that free market imbeciles promote and all at the expense of the drivers not only in the firm itself but in the entire area.

But we don't need a union or anything like that do we
