well branch sec putting a H in front of something such is or as [his has] ... makes it belong to them / him or she
in the way i used ....... asnt.... it was not tied to him / she or them male or feminine.... it is short for as it not so how would you use has it not in the same context then... as that clearly is linked to him / she or them being used ie has he or has she
go back to school f u ckwit ah ah

No you are not being dumb Lucy this is a HTML site and not a bulletin board, editing is not an option for normal users.

Okay taxi folk, a verdict is imminent, forthcoming, in the offing............
I spoke to my solicitor today and she explained to me that a verdict has been reached and is being processed by the tribunal at the moment for simultaneous publication to both parties. It is thought that I will know by the end of this week (perhaps as soon as Thursday).
I'm so nervous about it. In all honesty we nailed them to the wall at the tribunal and if we have ended up losing I will have the dimmest view of employment law ever.
In the meantime take a look at this:
http://www.sidmouthherald.co.uk/sidmouthherald/news/story.aspx?brand=smhonline&category=news&tBrand=devon24&tCategory=newssmh&itemid=DEED09%20Nov%202007%2010%3A45%3A32%3A687
Somehow they managed to quote me without ever talking to me directly.

Hi all,
And the verdict is...................WE WON!
I won all of my claims against the company, inc:
All counts of less favourable treatment (sex discrimination)
All counts of harassment
Cumulative less favourable treatment
It was determined that I did the right thing in resigning.
Failure to follow a grievance procedure
Failure to provide a contract of employment.
I won one count of less favourable treatment (sex discrimination) and one of harassment against the Operations Manager
I won three counts of less favourable treatment and harassment against the assistant operations manager.
No remedy as yet. Will update later. |

Actually I was concerned how the events that happened to me would be applied to the law and pessimistically saw scope for the claim to fail when tested in the crucible of legal precedent. But I always start thinking I've done well and talk myself into thinking I was going to fail. I was the same with exams.
Regarding the press, I thought that you knew that I have never spoken to anyone from the press. In fact my family and friends are keen to restrict the people that know about my transistion to a minimum. The tribunals are an open forum for the press and that is right and proper. There was a grubby reporter at the tribunal and I could see how interested he was in my story by the fact that he couldn't stop staring at me and making phone calls to people in the press. I can imagine I was a nice little pre-Christmas earner for the little whelp. Unfortunately for people with my personal circumstances it is always a good story for the scornful hacks and the NOTW have a long history of making swinging and disparaging public interest stories about the transgender community.
I have no intention of ever talking to the press and have always just wanted to be seen, with dignity and respect, as a woman. The actions of Peaks and the press have actually set back my entire development and all of my confidence. I'm really hoping that the end of this case will bring about some long sought after respite from having to fight my corner and allow me the freedom to live with dignity.
I am no longer a taxi driver (though it was one of the most personally rewarding jobs I've ever done) and my main reason for joining this forum was to put my case to you all because the NOTW article was really muddled and skewed. I am really grateful that you have been so kind to me. I hope you wil be happy to allow me to post the odd message in any threads to which I feel I might have something to contribute.
Take care,
Lucy x |

Lol,
Most newspapers are not sympathetic. Ironically the Mail have done some very sensitive pieces but, to be honest, I would want to retain overall editorial control.
Anonymous account? I'm already doing one. I write a blog under a different name detailing my transition. It was scheduled to go live in January but I started it at the beginning of December instead. Seems like great minds do think alike.
