I have mislaid my fuel receipts  and i was wondering if anyone can give me an idea of what percentage of GROSS takings over 12 months would generally be spent on fuel under normal use.

Any feedback would be great.

are you vat registered.....lol i doubt it as we all know its a cash business.

do you fill up at start or end of each shift...?
if so you can prove what your spending is business miles and not personal mileage or combining the 2.
i believe in this case its around 32% but if not vat registered you cant get the vat back obviously

that seems high to me at 20% too.

if you dont have receipts that are for the start or end of each shift or mileage records of each shift then i dont know how you can prove that your not claiming personl fuel allowance in amongst it aswell.

You can claim ! for 1 car wash at the start of every shift or at the end of every shift.
also 1 valet per week.
It is accepted you may not have all reciepts for these expences.
