as anyone seen this bit of kit from xtron ?
first time i saw it was on sunday afternoon on the rank. its a great piece of kit and is on hard drive so no tapes etc. im gonna dig around for the web site if i can find it as its not like the cygnus camera etc.
it was at the taxi show in coventry last month apparently as thats where graham saw it and acquired his. i want more info but will put on here what i discover. |

I've taken the plunge and ordered one of these. It will be fitted friday. I'll let you know how it pans out.
ps reason I went for this one is :-
continuous video/audio, hi-quality recordings "guaranteed to be accepted in court", and infra-red of course.
No messing about with panic buttons and if I need the content of the DVR in a prosecution I don't want the scum getting off because I tried to save £50 on my CCTV!!!!!!!!!!!! |

think i'll give them a ring as ive seen this at the coventry show and was really impressed by it. think it was on the jubilee stand fitted on a wav vehicle. great picture quality and infra red aswell.
its got to be the best piece of kit on the market.
allo allo can you let us know how you get on and feedback on friday on how it went. bet your associationmembers will all get one now....!!l |

thats £240 dearer than xtron and asnt got all the features of xtrons either so why pay £740 for somrthing that isnt half as good and doesnt water mark for use in court.
you cant put a price on safety but paying over the odds for somrthing that doesnt compare favourably with a competitors is throwig good money away in my eyes.
if you get one BB it would be nice if you would pm me on your views on the equipment. |

not spoken on phone for a few weeks but i was speaking to xtron today on the phone and i understand the local press will be there tomorrow.
send me the press coverage and i'll put it in the july issue. its had a great response from the mag and the licensing areas that have seen it.

Well, I've had it fitted and it looks very pretty!!!!! I don't know what the picture is like yet, but part of the service Xtron offer is to come back in 2 weeks to check the kit is fine.
They're going to show our local Licensing Office how to download images, so I'll let you know what the sound & vision is like then. The DVR unit is really small , about the size of a car radio.
Some of the wiring was not quite as long as I needed and my fitter could only mount it in a less than ideal position. However Xtron weren't happy either with the position so they are going to
come back with some adjustments for the installation and will pay my fitter to move it to a more satisfactory site.
Can't say better than that. Service with a smile!

I've got a Skoda Superb.
Talking to the Xtron people, they said one of the Octavias has a perfect cubby hole under the boot carpet, maybe the A5 version I think. |
