I'm curios to know the average spend per customer acquisition for a typical taxi company and what are the most common forms of advertising? What works best?

Don't get ratty with me just because you owe the revenue money or you got burnt by an old partner.

never ask a driver how much anything is or what they earn because unless we drivers know you, theres always the possibility you could be a tax man...!!!!!!!!!!

If you expect to get money for what you do ................. and if you want share in the profits of my hard work ............... then you have your hand in my pocket mate.


As far as asking how much the average job is and over what distance ............... well thats just to find out how much money you could have ..................... I'm all for advertising and promoting my business ................. but I would rather budget over time and not on individual fares.

The reason for that is that drivers are generally not employed ............... they are self employed and pay a weekly fee if they work through an operator.

Now learn something about this industry before you start insulting us by coming on here claiming you have been successful when you don't seem to have a clue about this industry your trying to get into.

Get yourself off to school now .................. the summer holidays are coming up soon and you might be able to spend more time on your venture.

GA your attitude towards business is alien to me mate. You know nothing about me yet you continue to make assumptions about who I am and what knowledge of the industry I have.

As I'm sat here right now I've just received 2 emails bookings for taxi companies who I advertise. Yesterday my advertising generated 34 jobs. So far this month I've generated 212 jobs. The average value of each job I have generated is £26.34.

I know how taxi companies operate and that's why I believe a cost per job basis is far more beneficial. If you were to spend £500 on advertising, how many jobs would expect to get back from that? 100, 200, 400, 500! The answer is you have no way of knowing so how do you know how many drivers you need? You don't! It's all finger in the air stuff. If you were to pay me £2 per job you would get 250 jobs for your £500 guaranteed! I would like to see a newspaper offer you the same deal! But better still their is no upfront payment so no risk!

What sort of advertising do you do at the moment?

The best thing about the system I am offering is that if you don't get any work you don't pay me any more and the more work you get the more money I get paid. Its a win win situation!

I really don't understand why you have such a bee in your bonnet and think that I'm trying to fleece you.

The irony of this is, even if you personally wanted to advertise I would not take you on. I'm very selective about which taxi companies I allow to rent my website and who I advertise. I've turned away more businesses than I actually advertise. I only take on taxi companies who can cope with the extra work.
