AN ARGUMENT over a fare is believed to have led to the death of a Liverpool taxi driver.
Douglas Bridson, 57, was involved in an altercation outside Trinity Methodist church on West Derby Road, Tuebrook, in the early hours of Saturday.
The Botanic Cars private hire taxi had picked up a fare and was driving away from the city centre at around 12.30am when the disagreement came to a head.
Police are still trying to piece together exactly what happened, but it is believed the passenger demanded to be let out of Mr Bridson’s taxi at the junction with Clifton Road, yards from Tuebrook police station.
