Our local autority has increased our fares from the 1st September, just wanted input from other business operators, do we have to fall in lilne with the increase or can we stay at pre-increase fare prices?

Hi Paul,

If you are a Hackney Carriage you will have to put the new tariff on your meter, that is the maximum you can charge, however, you can charge under that rate if you so wish. If you are PH, you can charge what you want.

Regards

What do you get for nothing ?
Your Insurance ?
You car tax ?
Your repairs ?
Your plate and badge ?
Your fuel ?
Your car ?
Your time ?
Your family and your home cared for ?

I bet none of the above !!!!

So why do you want to undercut the council rates ?
Do you think you as a individual will generate more punters ?
Yea !!! They will all come running to you......lol

The rates are set to give US as drivers a decent standard of living and to cover some of our outgoing costs.
So unless you get the running costs free ....why run around for bobbins when you can work for a fare standard of pay.
