Decided to get my own car but been looking at LPG (autogas) as an option, what is your experience?

Vauxhall have loads of manufacturer fitted (which is what I would prefer) 'dual fuel' astra's/zafira's etc about. From £3k to £6k.

Would save around £2,000 a year on fuel and council said its fine providing spare wheel is secured in 'spacious' boot. taxi test garage said they just test it on petrol anyway as they only have to test 1 fuel system, but council said it is fine. MOST insurance companies won't put your premium up. Most Shells in my area do LPG. Plus you could always use petrol as backup. Thats my research done!

But what do you lads think??? Aparently a number P/H drivers in grimsby buy from a local LPG-only car dealer there and somewhere in asia all taxis are LPG...

Comments welcome!
