Under the Disability Discrimination Act Local Authorities will be obliged to ensure that ALL Taxis be wheelchair accessible!
Please follow my link and sign the e-petition asking for a common sense approach to this act by utilizeing mixed fleets of saloon and wheelchair accessible vehicles to provide a service for ALL elderly and disabled people who cannot climb up into these vehicles!

It is understood that Local Authorities have the option to follow this path. But, as with the dogs breakfast of de-limitation, they often take what they perceive to be the easy way out, generally to our detriment!!
