Hello all,
We have purchased a Metrocab Series 2 for personal use and are having trouble finding a company to insure us. Any advice / previous experience would be greatly appreciated.
It is still licensed as a hackney carriage. Searching through the forums I found out that we should de-license the vehicle if we are using it as a personal car. How do we go about de-licensing?
Thanks very much
Steve

I got mine insured with this company for £329 fully comp.
i have also heard that TESCO insurance do them as well, worth a try.

Steveyj, if the vehicle is licenced and you don't have a badge you will be driving it illegally.
Just hand the plate back to the council and tell them the licence is no longer required. |
