Evening chaps.... Looking to hopefully start as a hackney cab driver in my local town by Jan08 once have passed taxi driving test and mainly the knowledge.

My question being.... Should i buy a brand new tx4 or a used tx2 or start off renting a cab??? Any advice would be much appreciated.

forget the tx2 get a tx1 much better cab than a tx2 and if you dont like the job its a cab that you can easily sell on.
tx4 is a lot of many to spend on as its so new theres not many 2nd hand ones around so you will lose out if you decide you dont like and sell it on

Cheers for ya reply Plato was beginning to think Knowone was on here.

Would renting a cab be another option?

Any ideas on how much that would set me back a week in a town like Bedford for example?

Was thinking of buying the new tx4 as if after a year the appreciation of the car wouldn't fall to bad.
