Just to let you all know. Fowlers Motors ltd are no more, gone into receivership. However, a company call TVT (Taxi Vans Trucks) has just set up, trading from premises in the same general area, offering guaranteed taxi finance amongst other products. It may seem that its the same crowd, but just a different business name and premises. http://www.fowlersmotors.co.uk/ http://www.taxivantruck.co.uk/ Make your own assumptions. I have no vested interest in this situation, I am not selling taxis for their competitors nor am I taxi driver. Just thought I should show some civic duty and bring it to your attention. All the best.

I bought a car of these crooks in june. 12 weeks later the car has been of the road for 8 of these, and nearly £2800 in repairs plus loss of earnings, the inlet manifold was broken when i got the car it took them a full week to do that , then the day i got it back the altenator went another week , 1 week after that the timming belt snapped the didnt want to know, other things that were wrong with the car were rear crank oil seal split, diesel particulate filter, wiper stalk broken, its absolutly shocking how these people can get away with selling cars in the condtion they do. All in all this car has cost me between repairs and loss of earnings it has got to be the best part £7000. thanks tvt |

Hi, Has anyone else had any dealings with this company? I am looking at buying a car from a private seller n when i did a hpi check it stated their was outstanding finane on the car. When i spoke to the owner of the car she said that she was not aware of any finance...she then rang me back saying she had spoken to the dvla any they had told her that if there was any out standing finance then the orignal person who took out the finance would be responsible for it....does anyone know if this is true? I then decided to contact Fowler motors, the person on the phone informed me that Fowler motors went into liquidation ant that the car had been sold and all out standing finane had been settled. The person i spoke to was very polite and helpful and sent me an e-mail stating 'Fowlers Motors had not interest in vehicle registeration...' However, i thought if i was to buy this car, one day i would most likely to sell it, and to amke sure i understood everything we had spoken about and sent an e-mail. I was expecting a confirmation e-mail back but didnt so rang the same person at TVT and when i asked if he received my e-mail and if he could simply reply to it...his voiced changed a little bit and said he would not do it as he had already sent a previous email. The other thing is that when i spoke to the owner of the vehicle and saw the V5 certificate, she had only had the vehicle for 2 weeks....which i thought was strange but she said she wanted to sell the car as her husband had brought it for her and she didnt like it one bit. I also noticed that the brakes needed replacing but this was reflected in the price for the car. With all this in mind, do you think it wold be ok to purchase the car? It seems like a good deal but there are one or two things which i have mentioned above which to me seem a bit strange...
