My name is Michael Wheeler a London based professional portrait photographer. I'm currently working on a book about London taxi drivers, which seeks to highlight the diversity and the generations of our taxi drivers.

Whenever Taxi drivers have hit the headlines I've always been amazed by the solidarity of taxi drivers to each other, in the way you come out to support of each other. For me this capsulate what being a London taxi driver is all about.

The book I'm working on seeks to photograph taxi drivers with your ID badge using my portable studio. I'm looking for the real characters who make up your workforce, so to show case the very best that London Taxi drivers have to offer.

I'd be looking to set up the small portable studio at one of your rest locations and capture those who come in. Alternatively you can pop into my studio which is based in NW10, the shoot would take approx 15mins of your time. Please email me to arrange a suitable time: info@michaelwheelerphoto.com

All drivers who take part will receive a complimentary CD containing their images.
