Hi

having ordered a new Minibus for our business with Fowlers Motors they are based in Newcastle under Lyme and advertised in a number of publications -

I was wondering if any other members were experiencing the same difficulties set out below

1 they promised delivery on 1 Sept then changed to 3 September at which point they took the full money from the finance company - Black Horse still no van or delivery confirmation !!!!now the 12 September 2007

2 no response to e mails letters sent recorded delivery or any returned telephones calls since the 1st of September - confirming delivery dates - Which at face value is in breach of the HP agreement

marks out of 10 for sale pitch 9 what a great sale from them Russell the Sales Manager Was slick  with his patter!!!! we fell for it !!!

Arranging Finance 9 after yes you guessed a quick phone call back to us confirming proof of id and setting the finance up 9 marks . The one and only call we have ever received !!!

Delivery confirmation 0 out of ten for lack of customer care . case of take the £200 deposit and let the punter sorry customer suffer


net result - we have cancelled the order and gone to a reliable company

Par for the course, theres reams of info on other sites about this lot.
We recommend the Taxi Centre Glasgow, see the post above for full info!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yes ive heard the same things about fowlers from a couple of drivers where i am. im sure its illegal what they've done ?

ive heard bad things about the taxi shop near bedford, i heard the owner of taxi shop once worked for fowlers...!! [allegedly]....lol

Deko good move now follow the rest of the advice and get your free Union membership, half price credit protection, and Free gap insurance!!!!!!!!!! then ask for a quote on the Vehicle Ins!

I asked for a quote for a C5, they didnt ring back for 2 days so I rang them again.

The quote they gave me was way over the top and when I told them so the salesman put the phone down on me.

I bought my Superb from The Taxi Centre in Glasgow and had no problems and good service. This was in 2004, long before I ever heard of the GMB deal.

However I know where I will be buying my next car from.
