A TAXI stolen at gunpoint from a Birkdale cabbie has been used in a string of armed robberies.

Merseyside Police has confirmed the silver Ford Mondeo belonging to Southport-based Central Cabs was used in a trio of armed incidents in Liverpool last Friday.
