Taxi driver fights off knifeman
A taxi driver has fought off a man who held a knife to his throat and demanded money before fleeing empty-handed.
The would-be robber called a cab to the car park at Peggy's Lane and Gerald Road, Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, at about 1745 GMT on Sunday.
The culprit ran off after struggling with the driver.
Police said the suspect may be behind a similar theft at the town's Coronation chip shop on 22 November when a man threatened staff and stole a till.
The suspect is described as white and in his early 20s. On Sunday he was wearing a dark hat and a scarf across his face.
Det Sgt Paul Callard said: "It is possible this could have been the same man and luckily nobody has been injured in these incidents.
"We are appealing for anyone with any information to come forward before a further crime is committed."
